Saturday 9th Sept we kick off our new term with a visit to our local Estorick Gallery of Modern Italian Art. We will be looking at the graphic works by artist and designer Franco Grignani. We will be focusing on his strong use of monochrome designs, creating swirling stripes of black and white. Grignani won many awards for his typography and is most commonly known for his Woolmark design, which is emblematic of the 60’s era of clothes production. We will also be looking at works by Vasarely, Missoni and Bridget Riley.
